Die Europäische Kommission empfiehlt 90 Prozent CO2-Reduktion als neues EU-Klimaziel für 2040. Dabei setzt sie stark auf CO2-Entnahmetechnologien und nicht so sehr auf Emissions-Vermeidung. Auch nach 2050 sollen fossile Brennstoffe noch eine Rolle spielen.
